Why behavioral health practices lose revenue
Up to 1 in 5
claims is denied or delayed on first submission. And behavioral health claims are denied more often than most specialties.
Most denials
are never reworked or resubmitted. Practices without a denial process simply write that money off, every month.
You’re busier,
not richer. Under-coding, missed timely-filing windows, and unbilled sessions quietly eat the revenue your caseload should produce.
How does the free billing audit work?
Three steps. No commitment, no software to install, and a BAA signed before we see anything.
- Step 1
Send us 90 days of claims data
Read-only export from your EHR or clearinghouse. Takes your admin about 15 minutes.
- Step 2
We find the leaked revenue
Denials that can still be appealed, under-coded sessions, unbilled claims, and recoverable A/R, itemized in a written report within 3 business days.
- Step 3
We recover it on contingency
If you want us to go get that money, we work the denials and old A/R. No recovery, no fee.

What does a free audit typically find?
Every practice is different, but the leaks are predictable. In a 90-day claims review we look for:
Appealable denials
Denied claims still inside appeal windows. Often the single biggest recoverable bucket.
Timely-filing rescue
Claims approaching payer deadlines that can be saved this month and are gone next month.
Under-coding
Sessions billed as 90834 that met the documented time threshold for 90837.
Unbilled sessions
Completed appointments that never became claims. Pure lost revenue.
Credentialing gaps
Providers seeing patients out-of-network while an in-network application sits idle.
A/R aging past 90 days
Old balances everyone assumed were dead. Many are still collectible.
Your audit report itemizes each finding with the dollar amount attached, so you know exactly what recovery is worth before deciding anything.
Frequently asked questions
How does Noblex Medical Billing charge?
Ongoing billing is a percentage of what we collect for you. If your collections go up, we earn more; if they don’t, we don’t. Denial and old A/R recovery is on contingency: no recovery, no fee. Full details are on our pricing page: we publish our model instead of hiding it.
Is my patient data safe with an outsourced billing company?
Yes. Noblex is HIPAA compliant and signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before accessing any data. For the free audit we only need read-only access to 90 days of claims data. We never touch clinical notes.
How hard is it to switch billing companies?
Easier than living with a bad one. We run a structured 2-week transition: we map your payers and fee schedules, take over claim submission first, then work the existing A/R backlog. Your cashflow does not pause during the switch.
How fast will I see results?
The free audit takes 3 business days. Recovered denials typically start paying out within 30–60 days depending on payer response times. Clean-claim improvements show up in your very first billing cycle with us.
Do you only work with behavioral and mental health practices?
Behavioral and mental health is our specialty: therapists, counselors, psychiatrists, and group practices. That focus is why we know codes like 90837 and 90791, telehealth modifiers, and payer-specific documentation rules cold.
